On arrival, our villa host Camille welcomed us with genuine warmth and professionalism, personally guiding us through the villa and thoughtfully explaining every detail. She ensured we felt completely at ease from the moment we arrived, reassuring us that she was always just a call away should we need anything.  She is a genuine asset to Villas de Maitre.

We were fortunate enough to enjoy an unforgettable stay at Diamond Villa, spectacularly located on one of Mauritius’ most beautiful beaches, Belle Mare, on the north east side of the island. From the moment you arrive, the setting works its magic. The crystal-clear, azure-blue ocean stretches endlessly before you, creating an atmosphere of complete calm, serenity, and deep relaxation. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and everyday stresses simply melt away.

The villa itself is exceptionally designed and effortlessly luxurious. It features six spacious en-suite bedrooms: two with breathtaking sea views and a large shared balcony overlooking the ocean, and four with tranquil garden views. Each bedroom is perfectly appointed with everything you could need, fast Wi-Fi, plush towels, high-quality bathroom amenities, generous storage, a work desk, crisp hotel-grade bedding, hairdryers, powerful showers, and in most rooms, a full bath. The villa comfortably sleeps 12 guests, without ever feeling crowded.

The communal spaces are equally impressive. From the elegant dining area and beautifully styled seating areas to the al fresco dining terrace, fully equipped kitchen, and luxurious poolside loungers, every element reflects outstanding quality and attention to detail. The artwork throughout the villa is striking and thoughtfully chosen, adding personality and warmth to the space, all of it fun, funky, yet chic. The kitchen deserves a special mention; it is superbly equipped, with dozens of glasses, extensive crockery, and every utensil imaginable, making it more than capable of hosting a dinner party or special celebration.

But what truly sets Villa Diamond apart is its unbeatable proximity to the stunning beach. Literally just steps from the garden, a soft white sandy beach unfolds, leading directly into the turquoise waters of Belle Mare. It’s like having your own private slice of paradise. There’s something unbelievably special about being able to walk from your villa terrace onto the beach in seconds, feeling the gentle breeze and listening to the calming sound of the gently lapping waves.

The seamless blend of poolside luxury and beachfront heaven made our stay unforgettable. Whether lounging by the pool, exploring the beach, or simply taking in the views from the villa’s expansive outdoor spaces, Villa Diamond delivers a delightful tropical escape that will remain in our memory forever.

One of the absolute highlights of the stay is the incredible villa staff. Like magic, two warm, attentive, and wonderfully discreet team members arrive each morning at 9 a.m. and stay until after lunch, quietly making sure everything runs perfectly. From beautifully prepared breakfasts and lunches to keeping the villa spotless, handling laundry, and even ironing, they seem to anticipate your needs before you do. The result? You’re free to relax, unwind, and fully enjoy holiday mode. It’s the kind of easy, indulgent service that makes you feel truly pampered.

Our experience at Diamond Villa was nothing short of outstanding. We’ve travelled extensively, and without hesitation, this is one of the most special villas we have ever stayed in. Every single aspect, from design and comfort to service and location, was absolutely first-class.

The villa is also perfectly located for exploring the island. Port Louis, the vibrant capital, is a scenic 40-minute drive away and well worth visiting. We had an amazing time on our private island and snorkelling boat trip with Island Aquaholic Cruise. The boat was comfortable and fun, the snorkelling was beautiful, and the private island experience was unforgettable. Our host Captain Jack was fantastic, friendly, and professional, and made sure everyone had a great time. The selection of drinks on board was a perfect touch. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable day on the water!  There are also numerous stunning beaches for surfing and kite surfing, where you can hire the equipment and even have a lesson. For golf lovers, Mauritius is a dream destination. Some of our team enjoyed the nearby Avalon Golf Estate, where they spent a full day golfing, followed by a wonderful lunch and spa experience.

In every sense, a stay with Villas de Maitre is more than just a holiday; it’s an unforgettable luxury experience we would return to in a heartbeat.
