Our stay at Ametis Villas Bali in the Saphire Villa was truly a remarkable experience that fulfilled every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality, beginning with the airport transfer vehicle with our personal butler who was outstanding and instantly made us feel at home.

The villa itself was a masterpiece of luxury, comfort, and style, blending modern design with the natural beauty of Bali in a way that made us feel connected to nature, whilst still creating a chic and luxurious ambience. The villa is built over two floors and features three exquisitely designed bedrooms, each with its own spacious and luxurious bathroom. The design of the villa combines traditional Balinese architecture with modern elegant decor. Each bedroom felt like a personal sanctuary, providing privacy, tranquillity, and comfort, with large comfortable beds with surrounding mosquito nets, beautiful furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that invited the stunning outdoor scenery inside. The bathrooms, too, were a highlight, with deep soaking tubs, rainfall showers, hi-tech electronic toilets and premium toiletries that made every moment feel indulgent.

One of the standout features of the villa was the private swimming pool. Nestled in our own secluded garden, it was the perfect spot to unwind and escape the world. Whether taking a refreshing dip during the heat of the day or relaxing poolside with a drink as the sun set, the pool became our favourite retreat within the villa. The surrounding greenery and the sound of birds provided an idyllic atmosphere, adding to the overall sense of relaxation and escape. It truly felt like we had our own little paradise, away from the bustle of busy Canggu.

The service at Ametis Villa was another element that took our stay to a different level. The staff was incredibly attentive and always available. From the moment we checked in, they ensured that we had everything we needed and more. Every request was met with a smile, and their genuine desire to make our stay perfect was evident. Whether it was arranging spa treatments, organising excursions, or simply providing recommendations for local experiences, they went above and beyond to cater to our desires. Dining at Ametis was easy, ordering directly from our butler via a QR code, with wonderful choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner if required.

Speaking of spa treatments — the spa at Ametis Villa was an oasis of calm and rejuvenation. The treatments were exceptional, and the therapists were highly skilled, ensuring that every massage and treatment was both relaxing and revitalizing. We highly recommend the two-hour healing treatment that involved massage and reiki. Some of the team also indulged in a couples massage, and it was one of the most serene and soothing experiences we’ve ever had. The ambience of the spa, with its tranquil lighting, soft music, and the gentle aroma of essential oils, created a space where we could completely unwind. Every session left us feeling refreshed, restored, and utterly pampered.

Another memorable event was a meal at the extremely stylish Billy Ho’s — a culinary gem that perfectly blends the vibrant flavours of Asia with contemporary artistry. From the moment you step into this chic restaurant, you’re transported to a world where every detail is meticulously crafted to create an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu at Billy Ho is a delightful exploration of Asian cuisine, with a modern twist that adds a layer of excitement to every dish. Each dish was a completely exquisite balance of flavours.

Billy Ho is a must-visit for anyone in Canggu seeking an exceptional dining experience. The creative menu, superb execution, and inviting atmosphere make it a true standout in Bali’s vibrant culinary scene.

To top the dining experience at Billy Ho’s, we were treated to probably the most special evening of culture that simply enhanced our entire stay even further. We enjoyed the authentic sound of a mini orchestra and the graceful movements of a classic dance while dining, barbecue style. It involved a local group of talented performers who go by the name of Sanggar Tari Yowana Duta.

The performances involved the Gamelan Orchestra, which comprised five kinds of dance: Tari Panyembrahma (welcome dance), Baris Tunggal (solo warrior dance), Cendrawasih (bird of paradise dance), Jauk (mask dance), and Joged (fun dance for entertainment). The performances were colourful, heartfelt and truly awe-inspiring — the talent and love for their art was evident throughout the evening.

This was arranged by our personal butler with just a day’s notice and was simply an experience that we will treasure forever — truly magical.

All in all, our stay at Ametis was perfect in every way — 100% perfection, 10/10. A return visit is most definitely on the cards!
