Apex City of Bath Hotel – a true city centre gem

Beautiful Bath has been a well-being destination since Roman times. It holds some of the finest independent shops and restaurants in Britain, making it the ideal city break.

Apex City of Bath Hotel is well located in the heart of Bath, just a short walk from the famous Thermae Bath Spa and Roman Baths and Royal Victoria Park. Apex City of Bath Hotel is home to Bath’s largest purpose-built conference facility with the main conference room.

I was lucky to visit the luxurious Apex City of Bath 4-star hotel, which is by far one of the best hotels in Bath. This hotel is perfect for family breaks, couple staycations, business meetings, events and even weddings, this hotel gem has a lot to offer.

The Superior Room started our stay off with a great first impression. With a luxurious bedroom and bathroom, this space is ideal for a trip full of relaxing, exploring and everything in between. The room features a king-size bed, bath, walk-in shower, bathrobes, Antipodes toiletries, Nespresso Coffee Machine and a 49″ TV. The room also includes a mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, complimentary snacks and a flexible desk and vanity area.

The staff at Apex City of Bath were very kind and left us a beautiful sweet treat display with ‘Welcome to Bath’ made out of chocolate and a bottle of champagne to enjoy! This was a lovely gesture and the champagne went down a treat.

Dining at Apex City of Bath Hotel

At Apex City of Bath, you can enjoy a luxury fine-dining experience along with a healthy breakfast to enjoy the morning after your stay. The Orange Artichoke isn’t just an experience, it’s a journey. We enjoyed a three-course meal with wine poured for us by our kind waiter. The floor-to-ceiling windows and a Scandi-style interior which flows from the restaurant into the bar make this an ultra-cool spot to eat and drink.

For starters, I enjoyed the Pea & ham velouté served with homemade bread. This was scrumptious and started the meal off with a huge thumbs up from me. To follow, I had the Pan-fried sirloin steak, cherry tomatoes, and triple-cooked chips with peppercorn sauce. The sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and it might just be the best steak I have ever tried! For dessert, the Chocolate & orange bread & butter pudding, and vanilla ice cream was a great way to finish off the dinner.

Facilities

If I wasn’t already impressed enough with Apex City of Bath, their facilities are another huge perk – it has great facilities for everyone. With stylish meeting rooms, a heated pool and a gym, it’s the perfect place to stay for a stopover in Bath.

The swimming pool has warm, ambient temperatures, and a relaxing atmosphere with heated poolside loungers. The pool area screams relaxation! They also have a steam room, sauna and shower experience situated in and around the pool area for your comfort and enjoyment.

At Apex City of Bath, to restrict numbers to the pool, guests are required to book a slot to swim. This wasn’t a problem for us as slots are one hour each and can be booked at reception on arrival. You can book a slot for every day of your stay if you wish. This ensures you get enough time to relax when you use the pool without it being overcrowded.

Gym access is also complimentary which features a range of free weights and cardio and resistance equipment, all of which are complimentary for guests.

Overall, Apex City of Bath is a great hotel to stay in whilst visiting the lovely city of Bath. The staff were very welcoming and the food was spectacular! It is a hotel I would go back to in a heartbeat.
