Arla Luxury Home – a super-stylish Austrian Chalet experience

When booking your ski or snowboarding mountain holiday there are several boxes to tick to ensure you have the most exciting and safe experience, in my humble opinion of course:

Complete and utter comfort in your chosen chalet or hotel

Ski in and ski out

Amazing cuisine

Spa facilities

Convenience for the local town that includes fabulous bars, restaurants and shops

Amazing slopes with great lifts and cable cars

Professional and knowledgeable ski school instructors and guides

A  chalet team who have extensive knowledge of the resort you’re visiting

And if you are really lucky a 5-star concierge service

If these are on your tick list, look no further, Arla Luxury Home Lech in Austria should be your go-to chalet, it is beyond 5-star, it is sheer perfection!

Arla Luxury Home is part of the Pepper Collection and each of their chalets is designed with, as the name suggests, luxury in every corner, with that authentic Swiss/ Austrian ethos.

The Arla chalet is huge and jaw-droppingly splendid, set on three floors, the basement being a spa area with a sauna, steam room, rest area, and a gym appointed to the highest level with top-notch equipment. The ground floor is a suite in itself with two large bedrooms and bathrooms, a lounge area with kitchen facilities, and a balcony with amazing views over the town and mountains. The next floor is where the master suite is situated, and is total luxury, with a vast bathroom, with double sinks and a deep bath. The balcony is massive with views towards the mountains and town. Also on this level was the main dining and kitchen area where we were presented with breakfast each morning by the two amazing Arla team members, who were definitely hand-picked for their efficiency and their aim to ensure we wanted for nothing. This chalet is simply seduction by the slopes.

The entire chalet is designed with the utmost attention to detail, and the furnishings were of the highest quality, with soft and luxurious fabrics, so if you have the desire to up your luxe levels Arla Luxury Home is definitely for you. Here you can totally live the dream.

We had four glorious days here in Lech, a superb winter resort, for all levels of skiing and snowboarding, but the resort offers so much more if you’re a non-skier.

Our day began with a veritable breakfast feast, the table was laid fit for a King, with fresh bread and pastries, meats, jams, avocado, fruit, and hot options too, along with fresh juices and tea or coffee, the perfect way to fuel our bodies for the day of mountain exercise ahead.

Well prepared for the slopes we were lucky enough to have the ski in and out options, which removed the chore of carrying skis and poles, and we all know how arduous that can be after an exhausting day on the slopes. The lifts and cable cars were of typical Austrian efficiency and the runs were all open and well-prepared, our skiing days were perfect, and we burned a huge amount of calories. A light lunch on the slopes was a well-deserved rest as well as a refueling stop, then we skied a little more and went back to the chalet for some private spa and gym time, and dare I say some tea and cake!

When you’re completely relaxed dinner is offered at the Aurelio Hotel approximately 200 yards walk away, and the menu is delicious, the dining room comfortable and the team members here friendly and welcoming, we dined here every evening, and the cuisine is varied and superb. This top-tier restaurant is sumptuous, warm and cosy, with a relaxed vibe.

The chalet guests are also welcome to use the Hotel Aurelio Spa where you can work out, unwind, detox and rehydrate. There is a sauna, steam room, ice bath for the brave, a huge indoor pool and amazing head-to-toe treatments, you could in fact spend half a day here, and believe me, we did!

All-in-all the chalet and hotel are an amazing combination of luxury and indulgence, and culinary excellence.

We won’t forget our stay in Lech in a hurry, we don’t often return to previous destinations, but we long to return to Arla Luxury Home, but maybe in one of the other Pepper Collection chalets.
