Skate, dine, bowl, curl?. Recreation at its best at this venue on Queensway, which houses a skating rink and bowling alley as well as food provided by Meat Liquor, for when you have used up all your energy being competitive at this fun and action-packed ‘arena’. Go as a couple or a group of friends and show them what you are made of when it comes to high jinx on the rink or a perfect ten in the bowling alley. It’s sure-fired fun all the way, but don’t waste any time wrapped up in your duvet, as there are only a few dates left to get tickets!

If you think that curling is for ‘squares’, you couldn’t be more wrong, judging by the whoops and squeals coming from those around us as their Winter Olympic challenge began, with all trying to outdo each other when it came to landing a bullseye. Was it a careful aim, or was it the thought of the delicious burger and hard shake at the end – if you land the bull, you eat for free! Curling can be thirsty work as you slip and slide down the ice to release your curling stone – so why not try out the ‘Sin Bin’, the trendy bar now on site. Plenty of drinks to choose from at the bar, conveniently located rink side.

If bowling is your bag, you couldn’t find a better choice of lanes with individual booth seating for each lane. A cool vibe surrounds the lanes with some cracking sounds and great lighting, so no excuses not to hype up and clear those pins! If you really want to feel that you belong to an exclusive clientele, book a VIP lane (also known as the Liquor Lanes) of which there are only 5, having their own bar, and a dedicated host to look after all of your needs. Something special here, no need to dress to impress, it’s all very casual.

When you’re ready, avail yourself of the food on offer, very much American diner-style with burgers and chicken of all kinds. Plenty of sauces means that you can have it spiced up or cooled down with cheese. Fries, hash browns, hot dogs, mac ‘n cheese are all there too, and veggies don’t need to go hungry with the selection on the menu under ‘Green and Serene’.

Kids are allowed too, with certain times and areas restricted to adults only. Guess what – you can even take your favourite ‘furball’ (dog) there as well!
