The Football World Cup 2022 is right around the corner – the lively football event is set to start in November this year. Let’s celebrate the World Cup with a football camp in the Maldives, where guests can learn football freestyle tricks from the best, alongside football training. Lily Beach Resort & Spa in the Maldives is set to welcome multiple Guinness World Record holder for football freestyle, Marcel Gurk, in October this year. The German football freestyle star will lead workshops at the premium all-inclusive resort for one week – while also basking in the Maldivian sunshine and hospitality, living the Lily Life.
During Marcel’s stay at the leading all-inclusive resort in the Maldives, as part of the World Cup Football Camp event, he’ll offer guests lessons and workshops, sharing professional tips and tricks. Guests can enjoy his complimentary 5-day football freestyle clinic or opt for private lessons on request for a fee. He will also host a 2-day football training class, specially curated based on his global camps. While there, he will stage two football freestyle shows, showcasing his Guinness World Records-worthy tricks. In addition, there will be fun football matches with him and other fans on the island – not only to learn tricks but also to get active and burn calories after indulging in the resort’s tasty cuisine.
We have much in store to celebrate the World Cup at the resort. On the food and beverages side, for a limited time, we’ll offer speciality drinks and dishes from major competing teams. Guests joining the football event will receive goodies like t-shirts and water bottles, with awards for winners of special daily games after training. Face painting will be available so guests can showcase their favourite team. We urge all guests staying during this period to join the fun by bringing and proudly wearing your favourite World Cup team jersey, plus a fun costume for our annual Halloween Parade on 31 October. Marcel will join the Halloween festivities in his own unique costume.
Marcel Gurk is the reigning German football freestyle champion, a successful book author, holds 10 Guinness World Records, and is one of the world’s best football freestylers. He reached the semi-finals of *Das Supertalent* and travels globally as a football freestyler and social media star, thrilling audiences with extraordinary tricks.
