I thoroughly enjoyed everything about my stay, and the Delta Hotel by Marriott Swansea has been a seamless transition.

There are many reasons why Delta Hotel by Marriott Swansea goes above and beyond, so let’s shine a spotlight on why you should consider a visit.

Hotel

There is plenty of parking at the hotel so you don’t need to worry about carrying your bags far! Upon arrival, I was greeted by beaming and friendly staff who went the extra mile to ensure my comfort. The check-in process was a lovely experience and it was delightful to hear more details about the hotel.

The reception area is tastefully decorated with plush decor and a relaxed atmosphere. I instantly felt the friendly vibe of this hotel. The complimentary water station in the foyer was a thoughtful touch, reminding guests to stay hydrated.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Superior Room with an exquisite view of Swansea Marina, and I must say, it was a truly memorable experience. The Superior Room itself was a haven of comfort and luxury. Spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean, it offered everything I could have possibly desired during my stay. The attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of the room, from the plush furnishings to the carefully curated artwork adorning the walls. The king-sized bed was a dream to sleep in, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful night’s sleep.

But undoubtedly, the highlight of the room was the breathtaking view overlooking Swansea Marina. The large windows allowed an abundance of natural light to flood the room, creating an inviting and peaceful ambience. Whether it was watching the boats gently sail by during the day or witnessing the spectacular sunrise over the marina in the morning, the view was truly mesmerising and offered a sense of tranquillity that is hard to find elsewhere.

The amenities provided were top-notch. The room was equipped with everything you could need from soft bath robes to treats and snacks left by the staff. I had everything I needed at my fingertips. The spacious en-suite bathroom boasted a luxurious bathtub, a shower, and a selection of This Works premium toiletries, adding an extra touch of indulgence to my stay.

The hotel offers a range of flexible meeting spaces that cater to various needs and group sizes. They can accommodate a wide range of events, one example being corporate conferences. I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘Grab & Go’ located opposite the check-in desks and I liked the concept of being able to grab whatever you need at your convenience. Here you will find a wide variety of chocolate, biscuits, crisps, coffee, water and soft drinks. This again highlights the Delta Hotel Marriott Swansea brand – thinking about the details that truly matter and having everything you need in one place.

Dining

During my time at the hotel, I dined at the on-site restaurant, Cast Iron Bar & Grill, and I must commend the culinary delights offered.

The menu featured a wide array of delectable dishes and the leek and potato soup served with a side of warm bread was delicious. I decided to try their signature dish, the fillet steak. The steak was cooked precisely to my preference, beautifully seared on the outside while maintaining a tender and juicy interior. It was accompanied by a choice of delectable sauces, and I opted for the peppercorn sauce, which added a delightful burst of flavour to the dish. The portion size was generous, and the steak was served with perfectly seasoned chunky chips. Overall, it was a truly satisfying and mouthwatering main course.

The service at the Cast Iron Bar & Grill was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, and their recommendations were spot-on. They ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was taken care of, making me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

Breakfast

The next morning, I had the pleasure of enjoying their room service breakfast, and it proved to be a convenient and satisfying dining option. The ordering process for room service breakfast was efficient and hassle-free. Delta Hotel by Marriott Swansea provided a comprehensive menu with a variety of breakfast options to choose from, including traditional favourites and healthier alternatives.

The breakfast arrived promptly at the designated time, and I was pleased with the presentation and quality of the food. The meal was served on a tray with all the necessary utensils, condiments, and accompaniments, making it easy to enjoy in the comfort of my room.

The room service staff were professional, polite, and attentive. They ensured that the breakfast was delivered with care and the attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in their service.

I enjoyed sipping my morning coffee overlooking the beautiful views of Swansea Marina. It was a great start to the day!

Location

The Delta Hotel by Marriott Swansea’s location was another advantage. Situated right on the marina, it offered convenient access to a multitude of attractions. Whether it was strolling along the promenade, exploring the lively city centre, or visiting Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula, there was never a shortage of things to do and see.

Here is a small list of things I recommend doing in the area during your stay:

Langland Bay – a family-friendly and offers a great range of facilities. It holds both Blue Flag and Seaside Awards and explorers can enjoy the coastal clifftop walk around Caswell Bay.

Mumbles – One of Dylan Thomas’ many stamping grounds and home to some world-class ice cream too. Mumbles is the beginning of the Gower Peninsula coastline. It’s a well-loved area of Swansea, and when you go there, it’s clear to see why!

Rhossili Bay – Rhossili Bay is a permanent fixture in Wales’ Best Beach top 10 and has been voted number one on numerous occasions. The views are incomparable and are best enjoyed from one of the many walking routes, which feature the beach, Worm’s Head and the cliffs, you may even see some basking seals or dolphins playing in the surf.
Swansea Arena – This is South Wales’ newest multi-purpose entertainment and events space. You can enjoy a wide variety of comedy acts and shows here.

Overall, my experience at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Swansea was nothing short of exceptional. The superior room with its stunning view of Swansea Marina exceeded all my expectations. With its impeccable service, luxurious amenities, and prime location, it is the perfect choice for anyone seeking a memorable and indulgent stay in Swansea. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I look forward to returning in the future.
