Palma Mallorca, 5 October 2021 – Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with El Llorenç Parc de la Mar recognised as one of the Top 20 Hotels in Spain & Portugal, for the second year in a row, on the island of Mallorca.

More than 800,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to provide a full snapshot of the places they can’t wait to return to next. El Llorenç Parc de la Mar is the founding hotel of the Mallorca C Collection. The hotel interiors are the work of Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland. Tapping into the local history and Moorish influence on the island, Ehrland has incorporated the use of geometric motifs throughout the design. The rich aesthetic pays homage to the history of the neighbourhood – where one can find remnants of ancient Arab Baths and the architectural gem La Almudaina – a former Muslim fortress turned royal palace of the monarchs of the Kingdom of Mallorca.

El Llorenç Parc de la Mar has achieved great success in the first two years of opening. It’s not an easy feat when also having to deal with Covid. Yet Chef Santi Taura of DINS received a Michelin Star, was named one of the Top 100 Chefs in Spain, and the hotel was included in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Survey 2020 and 2021 as one of the Top Hotels in Spain & Portugal.
