Discovering Biscuiteers: London’s Premier Biscuit Artisans

Biscuiteers are a baking company based in London, famous for their beautifully designed hand-made iced biscuit gifts. They create biscuits for all occasions and sell a range of delicious macarons. You can choose from letterbox gifts, hampers, DIY kits and even dog biscuits; they have it all!

The Stunning Belgravia Boutique

To celebrate Afternoon Tea Week, Biscuiteers have partnered with a gin distillery, Sipsmith, to put on a limited-edition G&tea at their two boutiques, Notting Hill & Belgravia. The Belgravia venue is the one I visited at the weekend; it’s in Eccleston Yard in a gorgeous courtyard with outdoor deckchairs overlooking a giant TV screen. I loved the design inside too, it was super feminine, there were inspirational quotes on the walls and there was even a wall showcasing their favourite biscuit designs.

The Biscuiteers venue is one of the prettiest afternoon tea venues I’ve been to; one half sells all of the luxury gifts and hampers, and the other half is an icing café where you can design biscuits. You can book out the icing cafés for hen parties and baby showers, corporate and private events and you can book masterclasses. They also have an event called ‘Little School of Biscuiteers’ where children over seven years of age can learn how to ice their very own biscuits, from an expert icer. We also saw a group of friends who had booked the DIY icing café; it’s £20 per person; you get biscuits, edible decorations and five different icing colours to create your designs, which I thought made for a perfect Sunday afternoon activity.

A Delectable G&Tea Experience

The afternoon tea consisted of a range of finger sandwiches, smoked salmon, ham and English mustard, cheese and onion marmalade and the classic cream cheese and cucumber, which I must say was my favourite. We also had a great selection of freshly baked cakes, scones, macarons, mini Victoria sponge cakes and, of course, a signature hand-iced biscuit. I was slightly horrified when my friend put jam on her scone before the cream; we all know the cream goes first! To accompany our afternoon tea, we had delicious strawberry smash cocktails and a teapot of Great British tea blend; I’m not usually a gin enthusiast but in spite of that, it went down a treat.

Final Thoughts

The entire experience was definitely one to remember; it was the girls’ day out we very much needed. I also took lots of lovely photographs of the afternoon tea as it looked like a masterpiece. We had the best afternoon and we will definitely be returning.
