We’ve just had the most wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort, and honestly, it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

As soon as we set foot in reception and every other area of this fab hotel, everything felt easy, welcoming, and completely relaxed.

Our suite was absolutely stunning, really spacious, thoughtfully designed, and with the most incredible views over Kotor Bay. Every morning, we’d wake up, pull back the curtains, and just stop for a moment because the scenery is genuinely breathtaking. We kept looking and saying, ‘This just doesn’t look real, looks AI-generated”. The water, the mountains, that ‘golden hour’… stunning every day!  The bed was a superking, with cloud-like pillows and crisp linen. The bathroom was equally impressive.

The dining throughout the resort was consistently excellent. The restaurants offered a lovely mix of fresh, well-prepared dishes, and everything we tried felt thoughtfully put together, rather than overcomplicated. The Olé! Beach Bar delivered delicious food, from the pizzas to the more sophisticated choices, which were simply superb.  The Lighthouse, the hotel’s signature restaurant, was equally impressive, with a stunning and thoughtful menu, catering to all tastes. Breakfast was special too, with fresh pastries, juice, fruit, yoghurts, and hot choices, the perfect way to start your day, whether chilling on the beach or sightseeing.

The beach area is another real highlight. It’s peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for simply switching off. Whether we were swimming in the calm bay or just lying back and enjoying the setting, it felt like a proper escape, and don’t forget to have a break from the sun and enjoy a drink or light lunch in the Olé! Beach Bar, I can highly recommend the Aperol Spritz!

We also made time for the wellness facilities and explored the Vrmac Health & Wellbeing Centre, where we indulged in a full body massage each. It was a great experience, a full hour of complete relaxation, easing away tension, stretching the joints and muscles, while hydrating the skin. This centre adds a unique medical wellness dimension to the resort.

What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone we met was professional, knowledgeable, genuine, and attentive in a very natural way. This made our experience feel personal and very easy.

The location is exceptional. Nestled in a peaceful and private setting, the hotel offers a true sense of tranquillity, yet the beautiful Old Town of Kotor is just a short drive away. A visit to the Old Town of Kotor is an absolute must. It offers a genuine glimpse into Montenegrin culture, with its charming boutiques, bars, and excellent restaurants. Surrounded by the ancient architecture, the town is full of history, and the friendly locals are always eager to share fascinating stories and insights about Kotor’s past.

Overall, Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort is one of those rare hotels that gets everything right: beautiful setting, well-designed rooms, great food, proper wellness, and genuinely lovely people. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back.
