Designed by world-renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, it was built when suitable land was still available. Course Design and Signature Holes

Los Naranjos exemplifies a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design, featuring generous fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards. The greens, with Penn A4 grass, are spacious and subtly undulating. Tees are long, with four markers—red, yellow, white, and black—offering lengths from 5,131 metres to 6,532 metres at their longest.

The intimidating par-5 18th hole finishes in American style towards an elevated green, protected by a water hazard at the front, with the impressive clubhouse behind. The entire clubhouse watches from the large terrace. In 2005 and 2008, Los Naranjos was voted “Course of the Year” on the Costa del Sol.
