Moddershall Oaks Spa and dining experience

Moddershall Oaks Spa is the perfect opportunity to indulge yourself in a digital detox! Moddershall Oaks is set in 72 acres of private Staffordshire countryside, offering first-class indoor and outdoor spa facilities. They offer spa treatments in a cosy former farmhouse and lakeside dining in their newly refurbished restaurant, The Oak House.

Upon arrival at Moddershall Oaks, I was greeted with a refreshing mocktail by the staff. I was given a tour of the entire Spa and I was automatically impressed by the number of facilities on offer. By being around plenty of fields and greenery, you do really feel like you can switch off and have the digital detox that you desire.

Here are some of the facilities on offer at Moddershall Oaks for you to enjoy:

Outdoor Heated Vitality Pool

The jewel in their crown is the unique and luxurious 25sqm heated outdoor pool positively relaxing all year round whatever the weather.

Outdoor Spa Courtyard

A peaceful relaxation lounge perfect for resting next to the bio-ethanol fireplace overlooking the outdoor pool.
Spa cafe is full of delicious treats and nibbles, refreshing beverages and a dedicated team ready to serve you refreshments! I thoroughly enjoyed having a cocktail in the outdoor pool in the evening with the fire lit.
25sqm outdoor heated vitality spa pool as detailed above.
Kelo sauna is constructed from Kelo pine with views over the countryside located next to the vitality pool.

The Blush Lounge

A beauty suite dedicated to beauty lovers! You can have individual treatments in this room and this is also available for private hire.

Woodland areas

Moddershall Oaks offers plenty of outdoor space and opportunities to take a stroll. You can enjoy the grounds at your leisure.

MADE Wellness Centre

This is a boutique fitness gym complete with a large range of custom-made fitness equipment. You also have the choice to attend a fitness class that is suitable for all fitness levels.

Relaxation Lounge

I love a Spa that includes a relaxation lounge as it’s the perfect place to rest up and enjoy the peace and quiet. You feel completely at ease in this lounge, with blankets, fire lit and comfy sofas. You can enjoy your favourite book and take some time for yourself in this lounge.

Cycle hire

Do you love cycling? You can explore the grounds by using their complimentary bike hire service!

Indoor Spa

Tranquil perfect crystal blue swimming pool (10 metres).
Steam room with high humidity steam infused with Eucalyptus Milk.
Hydrotherapy pool controlled at 37-38 degrees with 2 airbed loungers, heated tiled loungers, 2 water canons, and a volcano air pad.
Experience shower releasing mists of cold bursts of fragrance and tropical rain to massage and invigorate your skin.
Reflexology footbaths with gentle bubbles in warm water to massage your tired and aching feet and stimulate reflex zones.
Heated loungers are ergonomically designed and heated to provide warmth and comfort for tired muscles.
The Sleep Lounge is a tranquil space for calm and quiet. Switch off from the world in our no-devices-allowed room, and feel the stresses of daily life leave your body. The most comfortable loungers and seating areas enable you to relax and unwind, complemented by closed shutters to keep it beautifully dark and quiet.

Treatment

My highlight of the Spa trip was the Sleep Lounge. I loved the feeling of having a room dedicated to complete relaxation! The aromas in the room set the tone of peace and quiet. I had the pleasure of trying out the NEOM Wellbeing Massage which was definitely something I needed. As someone who works from a desk, it’s easy for me to build up a lot of tension so I always look forward to a massage.

NEOM Wellbeing treatment begins with an opening ceremony to include reflex foot massage and breathing techniques. Warm candle oil application throughout nourishes the skin whilst a blend of expert massage techniques melts away tension from key stress areas. Includes – full body (legs, back, arms, face and scalp). Pressure – light, medium or firm.

I would highly recommend this massage – it was relaxing and left me feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

Food

The Oak House is a fully-refurbished two-story balcony bar & restaurant! New style, new menus, and a new balcony dining experience. Moddershall Oaks always prefer to use local, organic and seasonal produce to create their menus. This allows them to present the very finest and freshest flavours to those enjoying the restaurant and I was really impressed with the dining experience. The service was exceptional with the food being very quick and it was very tasty. I decided to order the below:

Starters – Bread, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic.
Mains – butterfly chicken breast served with oak smoked cheddar, crispy bacon, gem lettuce, beef tomato, onion chutney and burger sauce, housed on a toasted brioche bun with fries.
Sides – Beer battered onion rings
Dessert – Gooey triple chocolate brownie, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Overall, this is the perfect place for your spa day if you’re looking for a place to unwind and recharge surrounded by plenty of greenery. If you are looking to surprise your loved one with a spa break this Christmas, Moddershall Oaks is offering the gift of luxury this year with gift vouchers available to buy on their website.
