On the wild west coast of Scotland, Nc’nean makes organic Scotch whisky with a different kind of ambition. The aim is not to follow convention, but to create delicious, thoughtful whisky in harmony with nature.
Nc’nean Organic Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the distillery’s flagship expression. Elegant, easy-going and full of bright fruit character, it captures the house style beautifully. Made from 100% organic Scottish barley, the whisky is shaped by longer mashing times, slow fermentation and gentle distillation. These careful choices help create a spirit with natural creaminess, texture and the fresh fruit notes that have
become distinctly Nc’nean.
Maturation is equally considered. The whisky is aged in a balance of specially treated red wine casks, American whiskey barrels and a small amount of Oloroso sherry casks. Together, they bring depth and softness while allowing the spirit’s natural fruitiness to remain at the centre.
Bottled at 46% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, Nc’nean Organic Single Malt is made to be enjoyed however you like to drink whisky. Neat, over ice, or in a lighter long serve, it remains bright and generous. For a refreshing serve, Nc’nean recommends a Whisky Six: two parts whisky, four parts soda water, plenty of ice and a sprig of fresh mint.
The whisky offers notes of citrus, peach, apricot and spice, with layers of stone fruit, honeyed sweetness and gentle warmth. It is modern Scotch whisky at its most graceful: accessible without losing complexity, refined without feeling distant.
As with everything Nc’nean makes, sustainability sits at the heart of the bottle. The distillery uses organic Scottish barley, renewable energy and 100% recycled glass for its whisky bottles, proving that excellent whisky can be made with care for both flavour and the planet.
