Rockwater Hove truly won us over during our latest lunch visit. The setting alone is extraordinary — an awe-inspiring location right on the seafront, with uninterrupted views and a relaxed, beachy atmosphere that instantly lifts your mood. Whether you’re dining inside or enjoying the fresh air on the terrace, the location is a showstopper from the moment you arrive.

The decor strikes the perfect balance: stylish yet warm, modern without being over the top. There’s tasteful attention to detail everywhere you look — beautiful furnishings, fresh flowers, relaxed lighting, and comfortable seating. It exudes an air of total relaxation.

Now, the food. Truly outstanding. Every dish we ordered, from the starters and main course all the way through to dessert, was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The ingredients tasted fresh, high-quality, and perfectly cooked. Whether it was seafood or something land-based, each bite was totally delicious. We tried a few different dishes to share, and each was superb — well-balanced flavours, a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.

Beyond the food, the hospitality and service were first-class. The staff were welcoming and friendly, guiding us through the menu, offering suggestions, and checking in on us without making us feel rushed. Small things — refilling water at just the right moment, explaining ingredients, ensuring all our preferences were catered to — made a huge difference. They clearly take pride in providing an excellent dining experience.

It’s also worth noting how clean and well-maintained everything was. Bathrooms, tables, cutlery — all immaculate. The atmosphere felt calm with a happy vibe.

In short, our lunch at Rockwater was one of those rare occasions where everything aligned: the location delivered, the décor delighted, the food inspired, and the service made the whole experience unforgettable.
