Discover Cavo in London’s Outernet

New Mediterranean restaurant concept Cavo has launched within an 11,300 square foot open-plan space with an outside terrace in the heart of the new Tottenham Court Road Station development, The Outernet.

Cavo celebrates vibrant, seasonal, and local ingredients alongside the expansive culinary expertise of the Mediterranean. Rustic charm meets fearless modernity with uncomplicated deliciousness. Expect exquisite food and drink experiences perfect for couples, groups of friends, or as a gift for someone special.

Dining Highlights

Dining options range from classic à la carte and pre-theatre menus to the taste of Cavo selection. Highly recommended starters include the divine oysters, served with mignonette, burnt garlic, or citronette.

For mains, we shared several dishes: the Al-Kharshof (Moroccan pan-roasted artichoke hearts with artichoke & chickpea hummus, yoghurt, and harissa), which delighted the palate. This was followed by Tagliolini al Tartufo (Italian black truffle tagliolini with 36-month aged Parmesan cheese). The star was the Catalunya-style grilled octopus with Parmentier potatoes and romesco sauce, delivering depth, flavour, and texture quintessential to Mediterranean cuisine. A few dishes needed refinement—typical for new openings—but the General Manager welcomed feedback for improvements.

Cavo’s Standout Bar

Passing through the walkway, Cavo’s bar features leading mixologists and a fully stocked selection making a bold statement. Signature cocktails include the Metaxa Old Fashioned (Metaxa 12, Perique Liqueur de Tobacco, orange bitters, blood orange peel) and the Amalfi Gimlet (Malfi gin, Italicus, prosecco, lemon verbena, bitters, and lime). There is something for everyone.

Cavo boasts an impressive wine cellar, sourcing from small, sustainable Mediterranean vineyards to complement seasonal dishes.

About the Founder

Founder Ivo Dimitrov, Bulgarian-born with Greek heritage and a London resident for over 20 years, has launched similar concepts in Greece and Spain. He describes this as his biggest venture yet.

Special Events Note

In May 2023, Cavo celebrated the King’s Coronation with a secret red, white, and blue off-menu cocktail—mention ‘Fit for a King’ for brunch perks (historical offer). They also hosted a Seafood and Sangria brunch on weekends from 12 midday to 4 pm, featuring a carafe of sangria, a 5-course seafood menu, industrial-style interiors, and capital views from the rooftop terrace.
