Steam Dreams Rail Co. Announces 2023 Day Trips
The Steam Dreams Rail Co, provider of unique and magical steam train journeys, announces its schedule of remarkable day trips across the UK for 2023. Highlights include elevated dining led by Executive Chef Nicholas Allen, three classes of travel—Pullman Style Dining, First Class, and Premium Standard—and restored vintage carriages.
2023 Day Trips Schedule
Starting on Thursday, 16th March with London Victoria to Bath, the programme includes 14 different day trips running until Wednesday, 27th September 2023, with eight on weekends. Destinations feature steam-hauled departures in vintage carriages to beloved UK towns and cities including Cardiff, Carlisle, York, Weymouth, Chesterfield, Oxford, Portsmouth, and Winchester. Special outings include Chichester for the Goodwood Revival, Chatsworth House, and the Isle of Wight.
Trips depart from London Victoria, London Euston, London Waterloo, London Paddington, Colchester, and Shoeburyness. Locomotives from the Steam Dreams collection include Sir Nigel Gresley, Mayflower 61306, 70000 Britannia, 45231 Sherwood Forester, 46100 Royal Scot, and Braunton, with guest appearances to be confirmed.

Pullman Style Dining
Elegant wood-panelled carriages from the 1950s and 1960s, flawlessly restored with modern features and cream livery. Enjoy armchair-style seating at tables for two or four, laid with crisp linen, fine crockery, fresh flowers, and glassware. Savour a bespoke, seasonal three-course meal by Executive Chef Nicholas Allen, using local meat, fish, and vegetables from regional suppliers. Includes Champagne and canapés on arrival, plus selected wines. From £259 per person.
First Class
Welcomed aboard a 1950s carriage with Bucks Fizz, followed by sweet and savoury treats from cushioned armchair-style seats, with spectacular countryside views. From £159 per person.
Premium Standard
1960s-style carriages with large picture windows. Tables for four, complimentary tea and coffee, refreshments from the buffet bar, or bring your own picnic. From £109 per person.
