The Continental GT extends its trophy cabinet with a trio of prestigious awards in Europe
(Munich, 27 February 2025) The Bentley Continental GT has reinforced its status as the world’s sector-defining Grand Tourer with a trio of coveted awards. Effortlessly blending supercar performance, handcrafted luxury, and everyday usability, the new fourth-generation Continental GT has claimed two sought-after titles in Germany and a prestigious award in Switzerland.
A Hat-Trick of Prestigious Wins
Readers of influential German magazine Auto Motor und Sport have been polled for their favourite cars for almost half a century. This year, over 94,000 readers considered a record 462 models across 13 categories, awarding the class-leading Continental GT the ‘Best Cars’ title in the luxury import category. This marks the fourth consecutive year the Continental GT has claimed the honour, despite fierce competition.
Simultaneously, readers of Germany’s Auto Bild magazine named the Continental GT the winner of the ‘Best Company Car’ award in the luxury import category.
Completing the hat-trick, the exquisitely crafted Continental GT was named ‘Best Cars’ in the luxury import class by Swiss magazine Auto Illustrierte—the second year running.
Chairman’s Perspective
Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, said:
“This achievement reinforces the Continental GT’s legacy as the ultimate Grand Tourer and demonstrates its timeless desirability—just as sought-after today as it was over 20 years ago when first launched. We are proud and honoured to have been chosen by the readers for these three prestigious awards. The fourth-generation Continental GT is a real testament to the quality of the team back in Crewe, and these awards highlight the appeal of this incredible car.”
Revolutionary Design and Performance
The latest Continental GT introduces a revolutionary design DNA for Bentley, featuring clean, modern detailing including a single headlight design—the first since the 1950s. Under the skin, it pioneers a hybrid powertrain: the all-new 782 PS, 1,000 Nm ‘Ultra Performance Hybrid’ delivers 81 km of electric range and CO2 emissions of just 29 g/km.
For even more thrill, the new Continental GT Speed is Bentley’s most powerful road-going model ever, with 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h.
