The Dilly Launches Brand New London Afternoon Tea Menu
Piccadilly’s iconic hotel, The Dilly, has relaunched its famous London-themed afternoon tea menu with a brand-new twist. Served in the elegant Terrace at The Dilly, the new menu is displayed on a unique London bus-shaped stand and consists of quintessentially British staples alongside stunning patisserie treats shaped to resemble some of London’s most famous landmarks.
Savoury Sandwiches
To start, diners can enjoy four homemade savoury sandwiches: a Coronation chicken sandwich on white bread; an egg and mustard cress sandwich on rustic onion bread; a carrot, cucumber, and coconut cream cheese sandwich on soft country malt bread; and a smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese sandwich on white bread.
Sweet Treats Inspired by London’s Skyline
Guests can indulge in a stunning collection of cakes and sweet treats shaped to evoke key London landmarks. Tower Bridge is reimagined as a pear frangipane with vanilla cremeux and pear and rosemary chutney. St. Paul’s Cathedral is crafted from spiced plum, ginger sablé, and candied walnuts. Big Ben makes a return in the form of a caramel chocolate ganache with sea salt and dark chocolate sablé. A classic London double-decker bus arrives as a mango and passionfruit cheesecake. Both plain and raisin scones are served alongside clotted cream and strawberry jam to complete this quintessentially British tradition.
