The Hottest & Most Expensive Sports Tickets This Summer
It’s hardly a secret that the organisers of major sports events have worked out that there is a healthy market for premium experiences. In fact, it has become a massive industry in and of itself to sell sports experiences that go well beyond that of the ordinary fan. Essentially, you can pay a premium for two things: the chance to get a ticket when in high demand – see the NBA Finals below – and the chance to have a premium experience with added hospitality.
Below, we look at five of the most in-demand sports events in June and July, parsing out some of the costs for premium tickets and hospitality.
FIFA World Cup Final, 19 July, MetLife Stadium, NJ
Ticket prices for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup have become a hot-button topic due to their expense compared with previous tournaments, but the World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey is likely to break all records. Tickets are already up on resale sites for over $2 million; it is that big a deal. If you are looking for premium hospitality tickets, you should expect to pay somewhere in the region of $60-70K per person.
NBA Finals, June 3 – 20, San Antonio and New York
The New York Knicks making the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 instantly made the 2026 NBA Finals the event to be seen at, especially at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are slight underdogs in the NBA odds to win the championship, but it feels close. MSG ticket prices are looking like being around $4k for non-premium seats, and perhaps ten times as much if you want courtside. The series is just getting underway, so prices could rocket in New York if the Knicks get a handle on the contest.
Wimbledon Finals, July 11 and 12, London, England
Over in England, the Wimbledon Championships will get underway in late June, culminating in the Women’s and Men’s Singles Finals on July 11 and 12, respectively. It’s always one of the classier sports events, as you can literally rub shoulders with royalty should you have the top-tier tickets. At the moment, those are looking like $4,000+ for the Ladies’ Final, and perhaps as much as $12,000 for premium box hospitality for the Men’s Final. Again, much will depend on how the tournament pans out and who makes
the Finals.
Monaco Grand Prix, June 5-7, Monte Carlo, Monaco
One of the most prestigious sporting events of the year in one of the most unique destinations. Perhaps the only way to witness the racing when in Monaco is by yacht? If you haven’t got your own anchored there, you can purchase a seat in one for about $7K, though many of the F1 patrons like to opt for the best views with the Paddock experience, which will set you back about $12K. Monaco Grand Prix hospitality experiences do vary wildly in price, though.
Stanley Cup Finals, June 2 – 18, Raleigh and Las Vegas
The soon-to-commence NHL Stanley Cup Finals should not be seen as the poorer cousin of the more commercial NBA Finals, and that is reflected in the ticketing for the matchup between the Carolina Hurricanes and Las Vegas Golden Knights. Tickets for the games at the T-Mobile Arena, Vegas, in particular, could easily exceed $8,000 for premium seating. The NHL tends to lend itself to excellent hospitality packages for the Stanley Cup Finals, with prices somewhere in the region of $6K for a brilliant all-in experience.
