Cheshire’s New Luxury Spa Destination

Following a 12-month redevelopment, the Manor House, an independent family-owned hotel in Alsager, East Cheshire, announces the completion of its new luxury indoor spa and outdoor spa garden, which boasts an array of unique experiences with an English country garden theme. The final addition of the elegant new Pool House marks the completion and official opening of Cheshire’s new luxury spa, featuring the UK’s first Swim-Up Spa Bar.

The Innovative Pool House and Swim-Up Bar

The dual-aspect Pool House has a contemporary indoor luxe feel for spa guests to lounge and enjoy delicious nibbles and afternoon tea along with a delicious new menu. The bar, which can be accessed indoors as well as from the large outdoor heated vitality pool, is stocked with fine wines and beers, locally sourced spirits, and delicious cocktails. The indoor underfloor heating, coupled with the log-burning stove, makes this a cosy retreat all year round.

Designed by interiors specialist Steve Gibson Design Ltd, the orangery-style Pool House brings the outdoors in, with large skylights and expansive sliding doors which flood the space with natural light. During the warmer months, the windows can be fully opened, creating an airy summer beach house environment.

Outdoor Spa Garden Experiences

The Pool House is adjoined to the large outdoor heated Vitality Pool enhanced by the breathtaking views of the 2,000 sqm English Country Spa Garden, which features the Table Top Hydrotherapy Tub set in a formal sunken garden, and a number of experiences housed in stunning garden buildings, including the Salt Steam Inhalation Chamber, Potting Shed Herbal Sauna, icy cool plunge bath, and shower experience.

The English country garden-inspired spa also has plenty of quiet areas to sit and contemplate, such as the Panoramic Laconium with swing seats that overlook the fields beyond, and the Summer House where guests can find the Light Relaxation Lounge and Patio. The spa is also the first in the UK to install outdoor underfloor heating as well as provide individual heating in each hanging bed, making it a year-round retreat.

Indoor Spa Refurbishment Highlights

Earlier in the year, the spa completed its indoor spa refurbishment which houses luxurious changing facilities stocked with the finest spa toiletries. The changing rooms lead to the large serenity pool, surrounded by loungers and an Instagrammable hanging day bed, complete with a poolside indoor Finnish sauna and aromatherapy steam room.

There is also the unique Salt Shed Experience, a chamber infused with salt and essential oils to benefit the respiratory system, skin, and mind, with the option of guided meditation. In addition, there are three new treatment rooms providing a menu of rejuvenating, decadent body and face treatments from British spa brands Tribe517 and Temple Spa, complementing a cosy relaxation lounge where spa guests can cosy up before or after their luxury treatment.

This 17th-century farmhouse, nestled in the heart of East Cheshire countryside, features The Stables Bar and Grill, an award-winning restaurant providing locally sourced delicious food and wine. The hotel has stylish wedding and banqueting facilities, professional conference facilities, and offers accommodation with 52 elegant bedrooms.
