Trèsind Mayfair announces Diwali Tasting Menu
This November, Trèsind Mayfair will mark its first Diwali in London with a specially curated festive tasting menu celebrating the flavours, traditions and spirit of India’s Festival of Lights.
From Passion F&B, the group behind the three-Michelin-starred Trèsind Studio in Dubai, the Mayfair restaurant will bring Diwali to life through a dining experience inspired by celebration, togetherness and the rituals that surround one of India’s most cherished festivals.
Available from 3 to 7 November for lunch and dinner, the £115 per person menu brings together contemporary interpretations of flavours associated with celebration, gathering and abundance across India. Throughout the week, Trèsind’s dining room will take on a subtle festive glow, with warm candlelight, florals and refined decorative touches creating an atmosphere that feels celebratory, intimate and distinctly Trèsind.
The menu draws on the warmth and generosity that sit at the heart of Diwali, bringing together familiar flavours, festive memories and regional influences through Trèsind’s contemporary approach. Executive Chef Amit Bagyal looks across India for inspiration, reworking familiar references while retaining the sense of comfort, nostalgia and celebration that defines the occasion.
The experience begins with arugula pani puri filled with preserved pear and feta cream, followed by a beetroot chop with potato, mustard and papaya chutney. Trèsind’s signature mushroom “chai” follows, pairing king oyster mushroom with a crisp za’atar cannolo. Specially introduced for the Diwali menu is a reimagined jalebi chaat, offering a playful nod to one of India’s most recognisable festive sweets. The dish brings together jalebi with avocado, strawberry and pomelo, finished with cooling yoghurt ice cream, reflecting Trèsind’s approach of taking familiar Indian flavours and presenting them in unexpected new ways.
A tandoori tiger prawn with buttered asparagus and hollandaise espuma leads into the main courses, where guests choose two from three dishes: traditional butter chicken with butter naan, Goan lamb vindaloo with rosemary paratha, or sea bass in a coconut-rich kiri hodi with Malabar paratha. Each is served alongside black dal and Indian bread. The menu concludes with ghewar, paired with rose and cardamom ice cream, caramelised milk and delicate shards of soan papdi, bringing the meal to a suitably indulgent festive close.
The vegetarian menu follows the same celebratory journey, with paneer tikka paturi replacing the prawn, followed by a choice of tandoori morels with yellow chilli lababdaar and butter naan, mixed vegetable kofta with a duet of curries and laccha paratha, or achari chana martaban with green pea kachori. Drinks will also play an important part in the Diwali experience.
At Trèsind, a celebratory Banana drink has been created to accompany the tasting menu and will be available in both alcoholic and non alcoholic versions. The alcoholic expression brings together Johnnie Walker Blue Label with banana, saffron and green cardamom, while its presentation will draw on the light and colour associated with Diwali.
Trèsind’s extensive wine list will also complement the menu, including two wines from Maharashtra’s Fratelli Vineyards: a Master Selection Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc blend co-created with British wine critic Steven Spurrier, and Sette, the estate’s flagship Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
Together, they provide an Indian counterpart in the glass to the menu’s journey across the country’s regions.
To end the evening on a festive note, guests will also be invited to explore a dedicated Johnnie Walker digestif trolley, presented tableside at Trèsind throughout the Diwali period. The trolley will feature a specially curated selection of Johnnie Walker expressions, including Johnnie Walker Blue Label, the limited-edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label Festive Blend and Johnnie Walker The Vault. Designed as a final moment of discovery after the tasting menu, it adds a sense of ritual and occasion to the close of the evening. For those wishing to continue the celebrations, Tryst, Passion F&B’s intimate cocktail bar, will have its own dedicated Diwali cocktail menu. Staying true to Tryst’s flavour-led approach, the bar team will create cocktails inspired by their own memories and associations with the festival. Each drink will offer a different interpretation of Diwali, drawing on familiar flavours and ingredients including thandai and sandalwood.
Trèsind opened in Mayfair in summer 2026. Executive Chef Amit Bagyal’s tasting menu explores India’s regional diversity through contemporary fine dining, drawing on his travels across the country and his experience in some of London’s leading Indian kitchens. Group Executive Chef Himanshu Saini is the first chef to earn three Michelin stars for Indian cuisine through Trèsind Studio in Dubai, with Trèsind Mayfair representing the latest chapter in Passion F&B’s international growth.
