Situated on the left bank of the River Douro, just 10 minutes from the historic centre of Porto, Vinha Boutique Hotel is surrounded by gardens and lakes across 3.5 hectares. It originated from the renovation of a palacete—a historic manor house—to which a new modern building was added, reinterpreting the elegant terraces of the Douro vineyards.

Upon arrival, I instantly sensed that Vinha Boutique Hotel is vibrant, welcoming, and luxurious. We were greeted with fresh coffee, and our luggage was promptly taken to our room. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, with huge smiles on their faces.

Luxurious River View Rooms

Our River View room was decorated in a style inspired by the great international maisons of fashion and interior design. From the wallpaper to the freestanding bathtub, it oozed luxury. The bathroom featured Jo Malone amenities and a huge balcony overlooking the River Douro.

Personalised Service That Delights

One thing that did not go unnoticed was the personalised service at Vinha Boutique. I received daily surprises of chocolates delivered to my room—for someone with a sweet tooth, this was amazing! I also enjoyed a huge bouquet of flowers, and every staff member remembered my daily coffee order at breakfast. They recalled every detail, making the experience truly bespoke.

A gastronomic experience signed by Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa—two Michelin Stars. An elegant and creative space with a Private Dining Room available.

TERROIR Restaurant

A comfortable atmosphere for breakfast and lunch, with a terrace overlooking the hotel’s gardens and the Douro River in good weather.

RESERVA Bar

All the food we consumed was delicious. We experienced excellent service and tasty dishes. The rigatoni with broccoli pesto and dried tomato was a personal favourite, along with spicy potatoes and green beans. Vinha Boutique offers a wide range of fine wines, elevating our dining experience.

Sisley Paris Spa: Ultimate Wellness

True to its luxury brand, Vinha Boutique houses northern Portugal’s first Sisley Paris Spa. Spanning 500 m², it is dedicated to wellness, featuring an indoor swimming pool, Vitality pool, four treatment rooms, a Vichy shower, sauna, Turkish bath, hammam, ice fountain, sensation shower, relaxation areas, and a fitness studio. Guests can also shop premium cosmetic products.

From its early days, the property has redefined hospitality, becoming a reference for timeless elegance and design. It invites guests on a sensory journey from the moment they arrive. All decoration pieces were handpicked by the owners, with most rooms inspired by iconic maisons: Hermès, Christian Lacroix, Etro, Ralph Lauren, Missoni, Kenzo, Nobilis, Manuel Canovas, and Pierre Frey. High-end Jo Malone amenities complete the experience.

It is apparent that the hotel oozes luxury through meticulous detail in its creation and operation. It is the perfect place to create new memories and celebrate special occasions.

Afternoon Tea and DOP Dining

Vinha Boutique Hotel offers an exquisite Afternoon Tea experience, ideal for small groups of friends or family. Enjoy an elegant atmosphere, delicious menu, bread assortment, Kings cake toasts, fine pastries, delicate sandwiches, handcrafted jams, butter, and herbal teas. We savoured ours in the stunning Reading Room, where staff went above and beyond.

During our stay, we dined at DOP restaurant, offering unforgettable gastronomic experiences and a journey through Portuguese cuisine classics recreated by Chef Rui Paula. In a relaxed, quiet setting, we were surprised by original suggestions, delicious food, new flavours, and superb wine pairings.
